JORVIK VIKING CENTRE
Visitors are invited to journey through the reconstruction of the Viking-age streets as they would have looked 1000 years ago. In February each year, the annual Viking Festival hosts events out in the streets and river – recreating events from Viking past.

Castle Howard Tractor ride down to the lake/picnic area. Used for the filming of ‘Brideshead Revisited’ and ‘Garfield 2’. Within 30 minutes drive.
There are a couple of walks from the farm, namely the riverbank walk to Cawood which takes about 25 minutes and also a 15 minute walk to the wood, skirting the field margins, and spotting some of the wild deer that live there.
