"So lovely to be back here at the Dovecote Barns! Brigita is so warm and welcoming, just what you need after a long car journey. To arrive to find fresh milk in the fridge, tea bags, sugar etc all the necessities and the basket of goodies was just perfect. Oliver really doesn't want to go home and leave 'his barn' thank you Brigita for bringing the huge box of Lego round and also to Richard, probably the highlight of the weekend!"

Enjoyed cycling around the countryside with all the pretty villages - note to any road cyclists - avoid the transpennine trail as it is just that, trail and not suitable for road bikes! "Had a fantastic stay at the barn, started by a warm and friendly welcome from Brigita whose recommendation of a visit to the York Marina was a fantastic idea. We had a lovely afternoon there. The accommodation is beautiful and the garden is such a relaxing space in which to enjoy family time and a glass of wine. We would certainly consider staying here again. Had everything we needed for our 8 month old son - cot and highchair. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you."
