A Rare Opportunity for Your Special Day

At The Dovecote Barns, to ensure that your wedding has the exclusivity it deserves, we only host a maximum of six wedding events per year.

Choosing the Barns means you aren’t just booking a venue; you are securing an exclusive private personal celebration space with accommodation for you and your closest family and friends.

We do not hold a wedding licence, couples get officially married at a church or registry office either in the morning of or the day before the wedding event.

Wedding Package Overview

Our bespoke wedding package is designed for those seeking an intimate, high-end “weekend wedding” feel.

With only limited dates available each year, we recommend getting in touch early to secure your preferred season.

Accommodation

Exclusive hire of all 11 ensuite bedrooms (Sleeps up to 22 based on sharing).

Venue Hire

Full pre-wedding day table setup and use of the Long Hall, Paddock for overflow parking of additional day guests, and Games Room for the duration of your stay.

Ask us about our event charges which are in addition to the accommodation costs.

Event Services

Offering a pre-wedding tour and coordination and on the day support service.

Bespoke selection of wedding day drinks and wines.

We offer you arrival and toasting served drinks as well as table wines which are all pre-purchased prior to the wedding day.

Evening before setup of tables and table glassware.

A staffed licenced bar running from wedding day arrival until 11pm.

Table Layout

The Long Hall can accommodate up to 56 day guests based on a configuration of –

8 Tables of 6 Guests and a Top Table of 8 in Wedding Party.

If the numbers are less than 56, the tables can be arranged to suit as you wish.

Catering

We can highly recommend our close partner ‘The Shed’ based in Kelfield to deliver you an unforgettable wedding breakfast meal, however you are also free to hire external caterers – just let us know.

We have external power to allow a street food truck to serve up beside the Long Hall for evening food for additional guests if required.

The heart of your celebration is the Long Hall — a rustic intimate space that balances historic charm with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Bespoke Styling: You have the delicate glow of our fairy lights and rustic elegance of our tables and chairs, but with everything else you are free to decorate the space to perfectly reflect your style.
Seated Capacity: We specialize in intimate gatherings, seating up to 56 guests for your wedding breakfast allowing you to invite additional day guests to your celebration.
A Full Celebration Package: Enjoy a fully staffed, licensed contactless pay bar featuring draught ale, lager, and a full selection of spirits and wines to keep the celebration flowing until 11:00 PM. Arrival and toasting served drinks are also offered.
Outdoor Space: Festoon lights and outdoor space allow guests to gather for arrival drinks or external seating options.

Our wedding package is built on the concept of Exclusive Use. When you hire the Dovecote Barns, the entire five-star site is yours for the duration of your stay.

Stay Together: Our four award-winning barns provide luxury ensuite accommodation for up to 22 of your closest family and friends based on two sharing per room across 11 ensuite bedrooms.
The “Morning After” Feast: As the Grand Barn kitchen is designed for group catering, you can gather everyone back in the Long Hall the following morning for a relaxed, celebratory brunch.
Picture-Perfect Backdrop: With the historic architecture of the 18th-century barns, the beautifully landscaped barn gardens or the crop fields in the adjacent arable farm, the photo opportunities are endless.

Fully Licenced Bar: Contactless pay bar open from arrival to 11pm.
